Face-to-Face Programs

  • Storytime, Baby Bounce and Rhyme Time programs are back in the library on Wednesday 24 November 2021!  Visit Storytimes for more information.
  • Craft and Conversation will be back in the library on Monday 29 November 2021! 1-3pm on Mondays at Sunbury Library and 1-3pm on Wednesdays at Broadmeadows and Craigieburn Library.

What to expect when you visit us: 

  • Bring a mask
    Adults are asked to bring a face mask with them to wear if it’s not possible to stay 1.5 metres distant.
  • Sign in and say hello to our concierges!
    We will have a concierge at the entrance to the building. You will need to sign in to enter - there will be a poster with a QR code that you can scan to sign in. If you don’t have a smartphone, our concierges can assist you to sign in. 
    Concierges will ask you what the purpose of your visit is and help direct you. 
    They will also need to check your vaccination or exemption certificate. People aged 12 years and over must show their vaccination or exemption certificate to enter the libraries. Learn how to get your vaccination certificate.

  • Sanitise
    You will be required to sanitise your hands upon entry to the library and as you leave. 

  • Social distance
    Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while in the library. 

Available services

Hume Libraries will be open with their usual operating hours for...

  • browsing and borrowing (Click & Collect and Hume Libraries Express will also continue)
  • access to public computers (limited number available)
  • printing and copying (assisted by staff and EFTPOS only, Print & Collect will also continue)
  • access to wi-fi
  • access the Online Public Access Catalogue, available on dedicated computers
  • returns – please return your items through the outside return chutes (there are no late fines for items returned after their due date). 

 

A few more things...

  • Please please don’t bring food and beverages into the library. 
  • Study rooms currently cannot be booked.
